Authorities are actively searching for a motorist involved in a suspected hit-and-run incident that has left a young woman in critical condition on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales.
Late last night, emergency responders were dispatched to James Street in Glenreagh, approximately 30 kilometers from Coffs Harbour. Upon arrival, they discovered that a 21-year-old woman had been struck by a vehicle.
The driver involved is suspected to have left the scene in the vehicle and has not yet been found.

The injured woman received urgent medical care from paramedics at the scene before being transported to the hospital, where her condition remains critical.

A crime scene has been established with police continuing to investigate.
Police are urging anyone with information or footage that potentially captured the alleged hit and run to come forward and speak to them, or to contact Crime Stoppers.
