Tragic Rideshare Accident Claims Infant’s Life, Injures Woman and Child

Police are investigating a tragic single-vehicle crash that killed a baby and left two others seriously injured in Perth’s south-east overnight.

In the early hours of the morning, a silver Toyota Kluger was involved in a serious accident on Nicholson Road in Lynwood. Around 3:40 a.m., the vehicle veered off its path and collided with a tree, according to police reports.

The crash left three passengers with severe injuries, including a 32-year-old woman, a seven-month-old infant, and a three-year-old child. Emergency services quickly transported the woman and the infant to Fiona Stanley Hospital. Tragically, the baby did not survive.

The three-year-old was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital, where they are being treated for significant injuries.

A 35-year-old man, who was operating the vehicle as a rideshare driver, suffered only minor injuries in the incident.
