Two Individuals Charged Following Discovery of Semi-Automatic Firearms and Narcotics in Melbourne Residence

Two people have been hit with multiple trafficking charges after more than 20 guns, as well as illicit drugs, were seized in Melbourne’s north-west.
Police executed a search warrant on a home on Peck Avenue in Strathmore yesterday morning.

During a recent search of a residence, authorities discovered a staggering cache of 23 firearms. Among the arsenal were an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, several automatic pistols, 3D-printed handguns, and disassembled double-barreled shotguns.

In addition to the weapons, police found revolvers, a Luger pistol, and 400 rounds of ammunition. The search also unveiled quantities of various drugs, including ketamine, MDMA, cocaine, LSD, and heroin.

All confiscated items have been taken by law enforcement for further analysis and investigation.

Following the search, a 31-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were taken into custody. Authorities have charged them with trafficking large commercial quantities of ketamine and amphetamines, as well as trafficking commercial quantities of cocaine. They also face charges for possessing a trafficable quantity of firearms.

They have since been charged with trafficking large commercial quantities of ketamine, trafficking large commercial quantities of amphetamine, trafficking commercial quantities of cocaine, and possessing a trafficable quantity of firearms.

They will appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
