It took firefighters around an hour to extinguish the blaze.

Police confirmed a body was found inside the home.

The person has not yet been identified.

Detective Superintendent George Marchesini said two young children living at the residence were found safe and uninjured.

He could not confirm the gender of the person found dead inside the home and said police were still working to establish an identity.

“Our investigations now are focusing on not only who resides there, but could there have been any other people at that residence,” Marchesini said.

“I can confirm that there were two children that have been located safe and well.

“We are trying to establish and make contact with any other persons that may have been there.”
