Emergency services swiftly responded, with multiple paramedic teams arriving at the airfield near Gross Road at 5:57 am.

According to Queensland Ambulance Services, as reported by 9news.com.au, the two people aboard the plane were found with life-threatening injuries upon assessment at the scene.

Firefighters are on the scene working to extinguish a bushfire caused by the crash.
