Last night, under my command as the nation’s Commander in Chief, the United States executed a formidable strike against ISIS operatives in Northwest Nigeria, a region plagued by violence. These terrorists have been relentlessly targeting and killing innocent Christians, reaching a scale of brutality not witnessed in many years, even centuries,” the U.S. President declared on Truth Social.

“I had previously issued a stern warning to these terrorists, urging them to halt their heinous acts against Christians. They did not heed this warning, and the consequences were delivered last night,” he continued.

The President emphasized the precision and effectiveness of the military action, lauding the Department of Defense for carrying out numerous flawless strikes, showcasing the unparalleled capabilities of the United States military.

He concluded with a resolute message, stating, “Under my leadership, our nation will stand firm against the spread of Radical Islamic Terrorism, ensuring that it does not gain a foothold in our world.”

“Under my leadership, our Country will not allow Radical Islamic Terrorism to prosper.

“May God Bless our Military, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead Terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians continues.”

CNN has reached out to the White House for additional comment.

Trump has focused for the last several months on the plight of Christians in Nigeria, including calling in November on his secretary of defence to “prepare for possible action” and warning the US would enter Nigeria “guns-a-blazing” to protect the Christian population of Africa’s most populous country.
