A mystery New South Wales resident who has won a life-changing $1.25 million may still be unaware of their windfall.

Lottery officials are currently on the lookout for the fortunate individual holding one of the 16 division one winning tickets from Saturday’s Lotto draw 4651. The winning ticket was purchased at Spar Express, a convenience store located at Shop 1, 165 Swan Street in the charming Hunter Valley town of Morpeth.

Glen Scarratt, the manager of Spar Express Morpeth, expressed his delight at the news that his store had sold a ticket with the potential to transform someone’s life. “It’s absolutely fantastic news for the town,” he shared with The Lott, reflecting the excitement felt throughout the NSW Hunter region.

“We’re really happy for the mystery division one winner and we hope it is a local,” Scarratt added, voicing the community’s hope that the windfall has gone to someone in their midst.

“It’s absolutely fantastic news for the town,” the NSW Hunter region businessman told The Lott.

“We’re really happy for the mystery division one winner and we hope it is a local.”

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said the mystery winner has likely started their week oblivious to their win.

“We can’t wait to speak to this winner and confirm the exciting news,” Hobdell said.

The winning numbers in Saturday’s Lotto draw 4651 were 12, 7, 3, 6, 14 and 22, while the supplementary numbers were 43 and 20.

Among the NSW winners was a Newcastle dad who normally “never wins anything”.

He told The Lott this follows his $100,000 win in a Christmas raffle.

“Are you kidding me? I’ve won $1.2 million? I can’t believe it, I thought it was a scam,” he said.

“I just kept thinking, ‘Why should I read this information out to you?’.

“I initially believed I hadn’t won anything because when I checked my online account earlier, I saw $53, but it turned out that was just my account balance.

“I have a funny story. I’ve never been lucky and I never win anything.

“But on Christmas Eve, I bought a TV and it automatically entered me into this raffle and I won $100,000.

“Now I’ve won $1.2 million. This really tops the Christmas raffle.”
