Authorities from the lottery are on a mission to track down a fortunate individual who is still unaware of their $4.8 million windfall, nearly a year after the draw took place.

This winning ticket was the sole division one entry in the Set for Life draw number 3404, and it was purchased in Kiama, located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, on November 30 of the previous year.

The substantial prize was set to be disbursed as monthly payments of $20,000 over a span of 20 years. However, the winner has yet to step forward to claim their fortune.

Since the ticket wasn’t registered to a player card or linked to an online account, the identity of the winner remains a mystery, turning this into a waiting game.

Khat McIntyre, a spokesperson for The Lott, remarked on how drastically one person’s life could have changed—and still has the potential to do so—if only they knew of their remarkable luck.

“It’s incredible to think someone has been walking around for 12 months, potentially unaware they’re a multi-millionaire,” she said.

Lottery officials are still trying to find one lucky person who has not realised they won a $4.8 million draw almost a year later.

McIntyre urged anyone who purchased a Set for Life ticket from Nextra at Kiama Village last year to check their tickets for the winning numbers 33, 19, 40, 29, 28, 3 and 5.

“We’d love nothing more than this mystery winner to come forward, so be sure to check in all the weird and wonderful spots this ticket may be hiding,” she said.

There have been 370 division one winners so far this year, with 105 of those in NSW.
