Surprisingly, customer service skills top the list, proving essential not only in traditional fields like retail, administrative support, and hospitality, but also making a significant impact in banking, finance, healthcare, and the Information and Communication Technology arena.
Aside from customer service, proficiency in Microsoft Office emerged as a crucial skill. Additionally, person-centred competencies such as relationship management, leadership, and team building are also highly valued across various sectors.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office was the second-most in-demand skill across industries, while person-centred skills, including relationship management, leadership, relationship building, and team leadership, also rated highly.
Skills that are considered qualifications, such as driver’s licences and workplace health and safety certifications, weren’t included in SEEK’s analysis.
