Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, has accused Iran of engaging in “an unprovoked act of terror and aggression” after a drone incident occurred on Thursday. The drone crashed near the airport in Nakhchivan, a region adjacent to Iran but geographically separated from Azerbaijan’s main territory by Armenia. Another drone incident took place near a school in the area.

The Prosecutor General’s office of Azerbaijan reported that the drone incident resulted in injuries to four civilians, all of whom are employees at the airport.

In response to these events, President Aliyev stated that the military has been directed “to prepare and execute countermeasures.”

Meanwhile, Bahrain reported that an Iranian missile struck a government-operated oil refinery. Although a fire broke out on Thursday night, it was successfully extinguished, allowing the refinery to continue its operations. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported.

In the United Arab Emirates, authorities revealed that a drone was intercepted and destroyed near Al Dhafra Air Base, which accommodates US forces. The incident resulted in shrapnel scattering, leading to injuries for six individuals.

Qatar evacuated residents near the US Embassy in Doha as a temporary precaution and later reported a missile attack on the city. Saudi Arabia said it destroyed a drone in its province bordering Jordan.
