Footage of hit-run involving nine-year-old boy released amid search for driver

Footage of a nine-year-old boy being involved in a hit-run in Melbourne’s west earlier this month has been released as police search for the driver.
Police believe the child was crossing the road on Parkwood Drive in Point Cook when he was hit by a grey SUV about 6.15pm on March 11.

The car stopped for a moment however then continued travelling on Parkwood Drive.

Police have released CCTV footage of the incident. The white car was not involved. (Victoria Police)

The child suffered minor physical injuries.

Police have released CCTV footage and an image of a car in the hope that the driver can assist with their investigation.

The car is described as a grey SUV, similar to a Mazda CX3.

Police said the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or with footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
