Vodafone announced that the majority of its telecommunications services have resumed normal operations following a nationwide mobile network outage that disrupted users’ phone coverage on Thursday morning.
In an official statement, Vodafone explained, “The disruption stemmed from an outage at one of our network hubs, which occurred around 8 a.m.”
The company further noted, “Most services have been reinstated, though some customers might still encounter sporadic issues as their devices reconnect to the network.”
Vodafone assured customers that during the outage, those unable to access its network could still reach emergency services by connecting through other available mobile networks.
Expressing regret for the inconvenience, Vodafone advised customers to restart their devices to aid in reestablishing connections.

Earlier in the morning, Vodafone’s network crash sent calls and data services into chaos across the country.
Vodafone’s online network status checker was also failing, displaying a generic error message.
The outage-tracking website Downdetector had received tens of thousands of reports of problems with Vodafone’s services before 10am.
“We are aware that some customers are experiencing intermittent issues with Vodafone mobile services,” Vodafone said following the outage.
