A Gold Coast woman has been accused of stalking two men she met on social media, pretending to be pregnant and demanding money from them.

Police said the 25-year-old woman had short-term relationships with a 37-year-old man and a 31-year-old between January and March this year.

The woman allegedly stalked the men and sent them large numbers of messages where she claimed to be pregnant and needed money for medical expenses.

Police allege the woman also sent fake ultrasound images and medical documents to the men months later, claiming she had given birth and needed more money to cover her medical expenses.

The 25-year-old woman has since been charged with 16 offences including five counts of fraud, four counts each of forgery and uttering.

She has also been charged with one count each of stalking, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing a utensil.

She will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on September 19.

Police said they believe there may be more people who may have been contacted by the woman through social media, specifically in the Gold Coast region.
