A young father is fighting for his life after he was struck by a motorcycle in a hit-and-run.

Anneliese Rodger told 9News her partner of five years Connor was left with collapsed lungs, a broken arm, broken ribs, broken neck, facial fractures and a brain bleed after the crash south of Brisbane yesterday.

An unregistered motorbike rider hit him at the intersection of Kingston Road and Battle Street in Loganlea, about 30 kilometres from Brisbane, just before 6pm (7pm AEDT).

Anneliese, who has known Connor since he was 13, said she knew something was wrong last night when he didn’t answer his phone.

Using a location-sharing app, she tracked his movements from the crash to PA Hospital.

“From then I pretty much knew, but I was still spam-calling his phone hoping that it wasn’t him, and eventually the hospital called me,” she said.

The couple are due to be married and have a four-year-old daughter together.

“She just wants to see her dad, and that’s the hardest part,” Anneliese said.

“It’s really hard to believe someone would get back up and leave.”

Dash cam footage captured the moments before and after the accident.

Police are still hunting for the rider.

The road was closed for several hours while crash unit officers assessed the scene.

Police are appealing for assistance from anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.
