Amy Slaton, known for her role on 1000-lb Sisters, recently celebrated a milestone as she exchanged vows with her boyfriend, Brian Lovvorn, in a uniquely themed Halloween wedding. The nuptials took place on Friday, October 31st, embracing the spooky spirit of the holiday.
The reality show star revealed that she selected the historic Talbott Tavern in Kentucky as her venue, drawn by its reputation for being haunted. The eerie ambiance perfectly matched her vision for a dream wedding, combining romance with a hint of the supernatural as she married her soulmate.
Amy expressed her intentional choice of a ghostly atmosphere for her special day. Her wedding theme, described as a blend of “Victorian meets light gray meets dusty blue and white,” was accentuated by decorations featuring numerous moons, adding to the mystique of the occasion.
Amy’s Wedding Had A Spooky Theme
Amy noted that she deliberately wanted a haunted-feeling ceremony. She shared that the theme was “Victorian meets light gray meets dusty blue and white,” and that the decor included lots of moons all around.
The reality TV star shared that it was fun for her to pick out all the little details for her special day, and that she even dyed her hair pink for the ceremony, per Brian’s request. “I deeply cherished the journey of wedding planning, embracing the art and location hunting,” she gushed to People in interview about the big day.
Amy also chose to have her close friend Ollisha “Lee Lee” David serve as her maid of honor, saying she knew her longtime friend “would graciously accept the esteemed honor” before she had even had the chance to ask her.
Amy Gushed About Her New Husband
As the pair tied the knot on the spooky occasion, Amy shared with the outlet how she was marrying the love of her and couldn’t be happier. She elaborated on all the qualities she liked about her partner, and how she believed anyone else who got to know him would like him, too:
Getting married means that I’m no longer lonely because I’ve discovered my soulmate, Brian, is my happy place! Once you get to know him, you’ll find him to be the sweetest, most caring person you’ll ever have the pleasure of knowing! Not only did he capture my heart, but he also won over my boys and not many men out there will accept a single mom with two energetic boys!
“I adore how he inspires me to be a better version of myself,” she continued. “How he prioritizes my well-being and that of my boys, selflessly putting our needs before his own! He is always enthusiastic about exploring new horizons with us or simply enjoying quality time indoors, playing games with the boys,” she added.
Those who have been following the show for some time will know that Amy shares two young boys, Gage and Glenn, with her former partner, Michael Halterman. Marrying Brian means the four will now live as a blended family.
“Getting married is a promise to spend the rest of our days trying to make each other’s days as good as they can be, whatever that means and at any given time,” Brian added.
Moving forward, Amy told the outlet that she’s excited for fans of the show to see this next chapter of her life—as well as her life with her new family. “I’m excited for them to finally see my Brady Bunch-like loving husband! And that my kids are wonderful and that I’m a boss wife!” she teased.
