90 Day Fiancé: Paula Calls Out Thomas for Being Overly Annoying

Sunday’s episode of “90 Day Fiancé” promises to be a nail-biter as Paula and Thomas stand on the brink of cancelling their wedding.

Since Paula, 41, made the leap from Brazil to Long Beach, California, to be with Thomas, 31, their relationship has been anything but smooth sailing. The couple’s differing lifestyles starkly contrast, with tension escalating over something as simple as the scent of deodorant or perfume, which Thomas finds unbearable. He feels Paula dismisses his sensitivities, further straining their bond.

Adding fuel to the fire, Paula’s family has traveled from Brazil, arriving in droves to witness the ceremony, and all eight are cramped in Thomas’ modest apartment. This overcrowded scenario has only heightened the stress levels. As they attempt to enjoy a romantic dinner just a day before their planned nuptials, the atmosphere is anything but amorous, as the couple finds themselves on edge.

The disagreement begins immediately when Thomas suggests they ride his bike to the restaurant to avoid the cost of parking, causing friction even during the ride.

Later, at the restaurant, Paula expresses her frustration, remarking, “Sometimes I don’t think you are mature enough.” She explains her discomfort, stating that riding the bike in a dress has left her hair and makeup a mess, adding to her resentment.

“This is too much,” she continues. “I like adventure, but there’s a certain time for stuff. Sometimes I want to be adult.”

Thomas smirks in response and says he thought it was a good idea to ride his bike, and corrects her when she asks if it was really worth saving $12 in parking to say that they actually saved $20.

Paula then gets emotional and says she feels like she’s losing herself, but Thomas accuses her of not wanting to compromise either.

“I’m not happy with some of the stuff that you’re doing and some of the requests that you’re making,” he points out. “You’re very compulsive and you’re very focused on, like, consumerism.”

Paula admits that with her family visiting her, she wants to go back to Brazil with them because it would be “easy” for her. Thomas is understandably upset, and says he wanted to hear that she was excited to marry him, not her threatening to go back to Brazil.

Still, he doesn’t appear to take her seriously and says she just needs a new “challenge” in life.

He tells her, “I think your natural instincts are always to do the easiest knee-jerk reaction.”

A fed-up Paula has had enough, and shockingly curses at him in Portuguese.

“You are so annoying,” she tells him. “You’re a son of a bitch. You’re so f–king annoying.”

After he awkwardly stays silent as she berates him, he wonders if they’re breaking up.

Thomas questions about their wedding the next day, “I don’t know, are we still doing this?”

She dramatically replies, “No. I can’t, I can’t. This is too much.”

Paula explains to cameras, “I love Tom, but the problem is being stuck unhappy, being stuck in a situation that I don’t want to be.”

“90 Day Fiancé” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
