90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 9 follows Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda’s turbulent relationship after the couple agreed on an open marriage, brought up during their appearance on Season 2 of 90 Day: The Last Resort. Although hesitant, Gino ultimately decided that Jasmine could see another man to satisfy her sexual needs but could not develop feelings.

In Season 9 of the spinoff, viewers learn that after agreeing to an open marriage, Gino and Jasmine’s relationship became even more strained. The tension escalated when the couple decided to live apart, with Jasmine moving in with Matt Branis, the very man she had in mind when proposing the arrangement. However, when Gino discovers that Jasmine may have been involved with Matt before their agreement, he ultimately decides to move forward with a divorce.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Sees Matt Frustrated With Jasmine As She Tries To Save Her Marriage To Gino

Season 9 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? continues to follow Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda’s rocky relationship as they have now been living apart for the last four months. As Gino is living on his own, Jasmine has moved into Matt’s place, the same man she had asked Gino to have an open marriage with.

However, it appears that Matt is growing frustrated with Jasmine’s last-ditch effort to save her marriage with Gino. Matt has confessed to caring deeply for Jasmine, believing that she should move forward with a divorce as their marriage has not improved.

In Episode 5, Matt is seen telling Jasmine that she needs to let go of Gino. While at a nail salon, he shares, “I don’t know why you do this. Every time he does you dirty, I’m the one that’s always picking up the pieces. Jasmine, I’ve done more for you in the last four months than that dude has done for you in the last four years.”

While Jasmine admits that she is aware of everything Matt has done for her, she expressed, “But you can’t compare a friend to a husband. A husband is going to be above anyone.”

Still, Matt tries to instill in Jasmine that Gino has not treated her kindly and should “move on with” her life.

In a confessional, Matt states: “It’s so hard to watch Jasmine have hope again. It’s like Gino rings, he knocks on the door, and here she comes running. It kind of drives me nuts.”

“On the other hand, I sort of want her to meet up with Gino, because at least, if Gino finally makes it official and gives the divorce papers, then maybe that will give me my door to be able to talk about how I actually feel about her.”

He continued, “I showed her over and over again that I care about her in many different ways, but I’ve just been holding off, trying to literally verbalize it because she’s obviously not ready, but I’m not going to keep playing this game forever.”

After meeting at a park where Gino gave Jasmine back some of her clothes and a coffee maker, he asked her for a divorce. Jasmine appeared stunned as she had believed that Gino would propose taking her back into his life. While speaking to Matt at the nail salon, she tells him that Gino will meet with her once again to hear her out. “I will never forgive myself if I don’t go to that meeting,” she says. “At the same time, I’m scared.” Jasmine may believe this is her last ditch effort to save her marriage.

Gino Believes Jasmine “Tricked” Him Into An Open Marriage

Season 9 sees Jasmine wanting to make her marriage to Gino work. Before she meets him at a park, she shares, “I have missed him so badly, and I don’t know. I might sleep in my house tonight with my husband. And everything is going to go back to us, when we were in the beginning, when we got married.”

Unfortunately, their meeting was not what Jasmine was hoping for. Instead, Gino accused her of cheating on him with Matt before they agreed on an open marriage. During their conversation, Gino shared that he had her phone records which proved that she had been in communication with Matt way before their agreement. In fact, he believed she had “tricked” him into the open marriage arrangement to hide her infidelities.

“She had Matt selected, and she proposed an open marriage to cover her a** so her and Matt no longer had to hide their relationship. Who does that?” He shares.

Jasmine adamantly denied cheating on Gino with Matt, sharing that his phone records didn’t prove anything. “What hurts me the most is the fact that he wants to divorce me for something that is not true,” she tells the cameras.

“I have … an explanation for those calls,” Jasmine continued. “If he wants to divorce me and hate me, he could hate me for any other thing except from that. And that’s why I’m so hurt, because it’s like someone receiving a life sentence for a crime that they never did. That’s how it feels.”

As Gino drives home from his meeting with Jasmine, he shares that he had not started the divorce process because he would rather “wait for a recession when the market completely drops.” Adding, “I don’t want to share money with Jasmine for free.”

Gino Is Already Moving On With A Woman Named Natalie

Before Gino met with Jasmine to let her know that he would seek a divorce, he had traveled to Las Vegas, where he met up with a woman named Natalie, with whom he had developed a connection with online. The two had a great connection, but Natalie was adamant that Gino move forward with a divorce after she felt as though she was being “used as a pawn” against Jasmine.

Jasmine learned about Gino’s Vegas trip and even confronted him about it during their meeting in the park. In a confessional she shares, “Since he kicked me out of the house, he never mentioned the word divorce. Now he went to Vegas, came back, and all of a sudden he wants to get a divorce … This woman put ideas in his mind. Did she demand him to divorce me?”

In Episode 4, while Gino shops at a local thrift store, he FaceTimes Natalie, telling her how his meeting with Jasmine went, reassuring her that he told her about getting a divorce.

“It was difficult. I was very emotional, I was very upset and I kind of let her have it,” he tells her. He also shares that Jasmine was “shocked” when he asked for a divorce. “I don’t think she expected me to say that.” While hearing that Gino was finally taking the steps to separate from Jasmine, Natalie still shared that she did not want to be “in the middle of anything.”

However, Natalie did accept an invitation to Michigan to see Gino.
