Mary Cosby, beloved star of the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” is facing an unthinkable tragedy with the loss of her son, Robert Cosby Jr. The 23-year-old’s untimely death occurred on February 23, and new details have emerged regarding the circumstances surrounding it. Before authorities could reach him, Robert Jr. had been administered Narcan, a medication used to counteract opioid overdoses, as revealed by recently released dispatch audio.

Throughout her time on the show, Mary has been transparent about the challenges her son faced with substance abuse. In a particularly poignant episode, she shared an intimate conversation with Robert Jr., shedding light on his struggles. Sadly, these challenges were compounded by personal turmoil; in September, Robert Jr. was arrested on assault charges, and his then-wife filed for divorce just months afterward.
According to reports from TMZ, corroborated by Page Six, the dispatcher noted that Robert was neither conscious nor breathing when the call for help was made. Despite the swift response, with three police units dispatched, there was ultimately nothing they could do upon arrival. Emergency services had been alerted to a “full arrest/medical emergency,” and, heartbreakingly, Robert Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
