Brody opened up about how he and Blanco first met in Hawaii on an episode of “The Viall Files” podcast, noting that he first slid into her DMs after watching her on the TV show The Ultimate Surfer.

“I was like, ‘Who is this girl? I’ve never heard of her. She’s incredible. She’s beautiful. She surfs better than all these [people].’ I was kind of blown away by her, so I looked her up. … I reached out to her and just was like, ‘Hey!’” he shared.

The two talked on and off for a year before meeting up in Hawaii while Brody was on a family vacation. “She wanted me to come to her, and I was like, ‘Listen, my whole family’s here. I can’t really leave.’ And I was like, ‘Look, there is one plus side. You get to meet my entire family the first time we meet,’” he said. “So, she came over and we spent the day. And honestly, as soon as I saw her, as soon as I picked her up from the airport, I was just completely in love. I mean, she’s amazing. I’m very lucky, very lucky to have her.”

He also teased the pair’s upcoming nuptials while stating he “really want[s] to see her” in a wedding dress. “I finally found the right person and we have this beautiful daughter. And I want to see Honey in the wedding, and I want to see her watching Tia. And I think we’re gonna get a little dress for Honey,” he gushed. “It feels more now like this is a family. It just feels right, so I feel like I’m in a place in my life where I do want to get married. I want that. I want the family. I want the kids.”
