Earlier this week, it was announced that Beauvais is partnering with Lifetime. The films, which Beauvais serves as executive producer for and acts in, are Taken at a Truck Stop: A Black Girl Missing Movie and Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted 2 Love. She has shared her thoughts on the upcoming projects, and her new career direction also gives more insight into why she chose to leave Real Housewives.

Garcelle Beauvais Confirmed For New Lifetime Projects

Beauvais is passionate about her new Lifetime projects and has shared her thoughts in a statement. “I’m thrilled to continue telling stories that resonate deeply with audiences and put women — especially Black women — at the center,” she said, Deadline reports. “Working with Lifetime has given me the opportunity to expand narratives that are heartfelt, suspenseful, and full of purpose. Both of these films are incredibly special to me, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience them.”
Beauvais also posted a screenshot from the Deadline article on Instagram on May 27, and again made her feelings surrounding her work clear with a lengthy caption. “Excited to be continuing my creative relationship with @lifetimetv @aetv Telling stories that resonate deeply with audiences and put women — especially Black women — at the center is important to me,” she wrote. She also let fans know how both of the films were “incredibly special” to her.

The comment section of the post has been limited, but there are messages of support from fans. “When someone who deserves good things gets them,” a comment reads. “We love to see a BOSS move,” another message reads. Other reactions include, “Booked, busy and unbothered,” “Let’s go friend!! This is VERY INTERESTING,” and “Congratulations lady!! Woohooo!!”

Beauvais’ Instagram post from May 26 also suggests she has already begun filming. She posted a short video of herself, and it appears she is in a playground. She captioned the post with, “#lunch break on location,” and revealed that she was in Vancouver, Canada.

Why Did Garcelle Beauvais Leave RHOBH?

She used Instagram to announce her news, confirming that she left RHOBH, which she referred to as a “wild ride,” and that she had focused her attention elsewhere. “One of the reasons why I’m leaving is my family, my boys. Their last year of high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that…And secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing and acting in — I can’t tell you anything now but you’ll know soon,” she shared at the time.

Now, fans finally know what those projects are!
