Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins might not have interacted at the Met Gala on Monday, May 5, but the actress says she enjoyed working with her White Lotus costar amid speculation of a feud between them.

The British actress, 31, spoke to Entertainment Tonight about Goggins’ forthcoming Saturday Night Live hosting gig (he’s set to appear on the show on Saturday, May 10), but said she wouldn’t be making a surprise appearance. “I couldn’t say,” she said, before adding: “But also … I’m not doing that.”

Wood went on: “Yeah, it would be fun. I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever.  He’s going to be incredible doing SNL. It’s the perfect thing for him to do. It’s going to be hilarious. I’m so excited to see it.”

Wood, wearing a black and white suit and dress by British-Indian-Nigerian fashion designer Priya Ahluwalia, also spoke about how pleased she was to attend the fashion extravaganza at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art with another of her White Lotus costars, Patrick Schwarzenegger, because he helped her feel less overwhelmed.

“I feel very spaced out,” she told E! News. “I’m struggling to find my words. My mouth is really dry. But Patrick — thank god. He was like, ‘I’m going. Should we go together in the car?’ And I said, ‘Yes, please.’ So, we came in the car together and that had made everything a lot less scary.”

She added: “I always say I think he was my dad in a past life. I just immediately feel so safe with him. He’s the safest, kindest person and he’s so solid. You just can’t feel nervous or scared when Patrick’s around. He’s just the most pure person, I can’t describe it.”

Goggins, who attended the Met Gala in a flamboyant monochrome skirt by Thom Browne, has been tight-lipped about rumors of a feud. In an interview with the Times of London published Thursday, May 1, he shut down questions about his supposedly strained relationship with the actress. “I’m not gonna have that conversation,” he said, while his rep said, “We’re not going there, thank you.”

Goggins and Wood originally formed a friendship while playing love interests in season 3 of the hit HBO series. After their costar Jason Isaacs hinted at tension on set, fans clocked that Goggins and Wood were no longer following each other on social media. Both have denied the persistent rumors of a feud.
