As Love Is Blind surpasses its tenth season, the popular reality series has not only matched several couples in matrimony but also seen the advent of its first generation of babies. Among these new families are Alexa and Brennon Lemieux, who celebrated the birth of their daughter, Vienna, just over a year ago.
However, followers of the Netflix hit were left disheartened by the recent announcement of Alexa and Brennon’s decision to divorce. Amid the ensuing online discussions, Alexa chose to focus on more positive moments, sharing her experiences of spending her first holiday season with her daughter, Vienna, as a single parent.
Earlier this week, Alexa connected with her Instagram audience, revealing that she and little Vienna were embracing the festive season together. She posted a light-hearted video of herself making latkes for Hanukkah, humorously acknowledging the whirlwind of the past few weeks.
Alexa Spent The Holidays Without Brennon
Earlier this week, Alexa took to her Instagram to share with her followers that she and her young daughter, Vienna, were celebrating the holidays on their own this year. She shared a video of herself preparing latkes to celebrate Hanukkah, joking about how dramatic the last few weeks had been for her:
Life has been a little crazy, to say the least, the last few weeks, but I’m really glad that we can try and keep some holiday traditions going this year when everything else is just a lot. It’s just me, baby girl and [my] dad having latkes tonight. Normally, you make a whole bunch for a whole load of people, but tonight it’s just the three of us. So, I’m going to modify the recipe just a bit.
“While I wouldn’t tell you to believe everything online, you can believe these are some damn good latkes,” she added, seemingly referring to all the rumors going around regarding her split from Brennon. Those who have been keeping up with the drama will know that both parties have made comments about how their partner was the one responsible for the breakdown of the marriage.
In his own comments, Brennon previously released a statement stating that their union had become “insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between [us],” and that the dynamic “destroy[ed] the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”
Alexa has been keeping her followers up to date with the developments concerning her separation from Brennon. Earlier this month, she took to her Instagram to officially announce their divorce, noting that they were both determined to healthily co-parent their daughter moving forward:
After much reflection and many heartfelt conversations, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. This choice was not made lightly, and it comes with a great deal of care, respect, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared. We entered this relationship with love and optimism, and we leave it with gratitude for the experiences that shaped us and the growth we each gained along the way.
“While our journey as a married couple is coming to an end, we remain supportive of one another, devoted to our daughter, and committed to navigating this transition with compassion,” she added.
As of this article’s writing, Alexa and Brennon are still working out the details of their divorce. Meanwhile, Love Is Blind plans to release future seasons of the show—the latest of which was the first in the franchise’s history not to produce any married couples.
