Alison Hammond, 50, has reportedly lost 14 stone since she began her weight loss journey, and her make-up artist recently shared some glammed-up snaps of the This Morning star behind the scenes of the ITV show.
And now, insiders claim Alison’s ongoing weight loss has left her feeling wonderful as she continues her relationship with 27-year-old Russian masseuse David Putman, whom she began dating in 2023. A source close to Alison told Closer: “Two months ago Alison had lost 13 stone, and now friends think it’s more like 14 stone.
“She looks even smaller. Alison’s never felt happier. Work, love… everything is going right for her, and she’s thrilled with the way she looks. It’s made her more confident on TV, and she’s feeling happier and sexier than ever.”
They added: “She’s lost an incredible amount of weight. She’s been really focused on what she eats – she’s cut down, and she doesn’t drink.”
In recent months, Alison opened up about how she has achieved her bodily transformation, telling the publication she can remember being almost 30 stone.
The star said she’d dealt with obesity her entire life and even had a gastric band fitted 17 years ago. However, it had to be removed in 2010 as her body rejected it.
Alison revealed on This Morning that an embarrassing plane journey was behind her decision to lose weight.
She said on the TV show at the time: “I was nearly 28 stone, I’ll be honest with you, and that is morbidly obese. And I used to buy an extra seat because I didn’t want to put anyone in a situation where I was touching them.
“I was made to feel uncomfortable on one occasion when I was so close to someone’s seat and they asked to move but they ended up moving me into first class.
“It was embarrassing the whole thing, and from that moment I just started buying two seats. I don’t do it anymore because I’ve lost a bit of time, but not everyone can afford to do that.”
This Morning airs on weekdays from 10am on ITV and ITVX.
