Amanda Seyfried confidently embraces her decision to use Botox, sharing her experience openly.
In a candid interview for a Who What Wear cover story released on Wednesday, December 10, the 40-year-old actress discussed her cosmetic choices. “I have a fantastic dermatologist who insists on only applying Botox in a specific spot for the rest of my life,” Seyfried explained, gesturing towards her forehead.
Additionally, Seyfried shared with WWD that she incorporates CBD oil into her skincare routine, praising its ability to soothe redness and irritation while providing hydration and supporting the skin’s barrier. She also undergoes ILP laser treatments to address fine lines and sun damage. Despite these treatments, she mentioned she has no immediate plans to pursue surgical cosmetic procedures.
Reflecting on aging, Seyfried remarked, “I understand life becomes more challenging with age, but I feel well-prepared due to the work I’ve done throughout my 30s.” She continued, “I’ve participated in extensive couples therapy, individual therapy, and countless discussions with psychologists and friends who are psychologists, which has significantly contributed to my self-awareness. While it’s not everything, it certainly helps a great deal.”
The Housemaid actress previously opened up about getting work done while playing a “Truth Serum” game for Allure’s YouTube channel with her costar Sydney Sweeney last week.
During the interview, Seyfried and Sweeney, 28, were asked if there were any looming beauty rumors that they wanted to “debunk right now.”
“Let’s debunk them all,” Sweeney said. “I mean, I have never gotten work done.” She added, “I am so scared of needles you have no idea.”
Seyfried then told Sweeney that getting over her phobia of needles might be worth it someday. “But it’s really effective once you get older,” she said. “I’m telling you right now.” Sweeney again said she was “too scared of needles” to consider it.

She then turned to the camera and said, “You guys, you cannot compare a photo of me from when I was 12 to a photo of me at 26 with professional makeup and lighting.”
“Of course, I look different! Everybody on social media is insane,” the Euphoria star added.
Seyfried then told Sweeney to give her a call “when” she decides to get a little work done someday. “When you do, you gotta call me and I’ll give you a little bit of Ativan and you’ll be so excited,” she said, noting that the drug helps the nervous system calm down. “But you don’t need it yet.”
Sweeney pointed out, however, that if she did get work done, her face would look “even.” She explained, “When I was younger, I had a wakeboarding accident and I needed to get 19 stitches, so I feel like it pulls my eye just a little differently than the other.”
Seyfried then shared that there is an “art” to getting injectables, adding, “You can’t just get it everywhere like a lot of people do.”
