Amy Schumer has put an end to rumors suggesting she erased her pre-weight loss images from Instagram due to dissatisfaction with her previous appearance. The comedian, age 44, raised eyebrows among her followers when she seemingly wiped her Instagram clean, leaving only a recent post flaunting a red minidress paired with black Chanel heels, highlighting her trimmer figure. This move on Tuesday sparked widespread speculation.

Directly addressing the chatter in a subsequent Instagram post on Wednesday, Schumer set the record straight. “I’ve always been proud of how I look,” she asserted. She explained that her recent changes are more about health than aesthetics. “I’ve been on a journey to be pain-free, and I finally am. My endometriosis has improved, my back is healing, and with Cushing syndrome no longer affecting me, my face has returned to normal,” she shared.

Expressing gratitude for her newfound health, Schumer emphasized the importance of strength and wellness, particularly for her son. “Your Instagram is not your identity; it’s a curation of what you want the world to see. I feel great, strong, and beautiful, and sharing that has been enjoyable,” she noted.

Schumer made it clear that her focus was never on embarking on a weight loss journey but rather on prioritizing her health. Her message underscores the notion that personal well-being takes precedence over public perception.

Schumer insisted she didn’t purposely “go on a weight loss journey,” and that her main focus has always been on her health.

“I’m sure my weight will always fluctuate,” she said. “I’m a perimenopausal woman on hrt meds. Wishing you strength and self love on whatever path you’re on as long as it’s kind and respectful to all people. No matter their weight race or religion peace!”

Seemingly proving her point, Schumer later posted a comically unflattering photo of herself in the hospital with no makeup and messy hair.

The “Trainwreck” star has been open about using weight-loss drugs to improve her health.

Earlier this year, she admitted during her appearance on the “Howard Stern Show” that she tried Ozempic almost three years ago, but it made her horribly sick. She then switched to Mounjaro and lost 35 pounds without any negative side effects.

“My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy. I want to ‘get down’ more, if you know what I mean,” she shared on Instagram in March. “I’m talking about sex. So, yeah, that’s been great. Mounjaro’s been great.”

Schumer has been married to chef Chris Fischer since 2018, and they share a 6-year-old son, Gene.

Back in February, the “I Feel Pretty” star got candid about her and 45-year-old Fischer’s marriage, including that they had to schedule sex.

“We do birthdays … we do schedule it, we do schedule it,” she confessed during her appearance on “The View.”

“Nobody ever is like, ‘Oh!’ There’s never like, a vibe where it just happens,” she continued. “Do people do that?”
