Post-episode, the cast expressed their bewilderment at being split across separate homes, with one location significantly farther than the other. Angel took the opportunity to share her original intentions for their visit and the reasons behind the distant accommodations.
“It’s like two of you are over here, and 20 are over there. What’s going on?” questioned Ashley Darby, 37, during the January 4 episode of the RHOP: After Show.
Monique Samuels, 42, shared in the confusion, echoing the sentiments of her fellow cast members.
Monique Samuels, 42, was equally as confused.
“From the start, it just kind of put a sour taste, because it was like, we’re walking up, and I’m like, who are these random men? Why are they just now introducing themselves to her? I thought this was her house. And I’m just like, wait, I saw a sign out front, so maybe they are selling the house. I was so confused,” she admitted. “I do not like going out of my home state to be with someone else and not know what the hell is going on. And to literally start the trip off without being given a heads up about like, ‘Hey, this is what the accommodations are gonna be,’ it was hard to really settle after that.”
According to Gizelle Bryant, 55, the “number one” wrong thing Angel did was to have cast members at a home “an hour and a half” away from her house, “[on] a god forsaken hill and nothing else is around.”
Meanwhile, Stacey Rusch said she didn’t understand why the cast was so separated.
“It’s shocking. Who planned this trip? Because it cannot be the person whose job is literally to plan trips … why didn’t we stay at her house?” she asked as Wendy Osefo, 41, revealed she didn’t “get it” either.
“None of this makes any sense … If the purpose of the trip was for us to see your acres in Colorado, where the hell’s her house?” Wendy wondered.
Even Tia Glover was out of the loop with Angel’s plan.
“I actually didn’t know, initially, that we were not all going to stay together,” she shared.
As for Angel, she revealed that, originally, the trip was supposed to be a couple’s getaway.
“[The men] were planning stuff. They were going to go fishing while we went horseback riding. Everything was going to be a great time for couples to get together and to kind of be romantic. Colorado’s a very romantic place, so I just wanted us to all bond, and sometimes these ladies soften in the presence of their men. And so, I was really excited to see the softer side of these women,” she explained.
Regarding what changed, Angel said that as time went on, she realized that some of the ladies didn’t have a couple to bring.
“So, it was going to be four people staying at my house, so [Keiarna Stewart] and [Greg Diggs]. Tia and her husband [Rob]. And that would have been a comfortable enough space for all of us to exist in. And so the other house had to be able to accommodate the ladies, plus their men,” she revealed.
Because the original plan changed, Angel found herself in a situation where houses were being booked.
“This [was] Colorado’s high season … and so the bigger houses for bigger groups are gone. Of course, I decided who was gonna stay at my home based off of my comfortability,” she concluded.
Still, Ashley felt that Angel simply didn’t want certain cast members included.
“I’m sure that there are homes that could have been within the vicinity. Like, sis, if you didn’t want us to come, which, you know, would’ve been fine by me, you should’ve said that.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac season 10 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
