90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem shared a cryptic post about her “narcissistic ex” following her drama with Michael Ilesanmi.
Angela, 59, took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, February 17, to share a video of Johnny Depp discussing why he didn’t hate anyone. “Why hate, man? You know,” he said in the clip. “It’s an expensive emotion. Hating requires a f–kload of caring. I’d rather not.”
Alongside the clip, Angela revealed that she revealed similar sentiments. “How I respond when people are shocked to discover that I don’t hate my Narcissistic ex,” she wrote.
In addition to the caption, Angela also added an animated photo of a woman laughing so hard she was crying at the bottom of the post.
While Angela did not reveal which ex she was referring to, fans of the longtime TV personality likely guessed that she was talking about Michael, 37.
Angela and Michael made their reality TV debut during season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. During their time on the franchise, fans watched Angela travel to Nigeria to meet Michael for the first time after they first connected online. The pair went on to document many milestones in their relationship, including for their 2020 wedding, on several of the franchise’s shows. Following his long visa process, Micheal’s visa to the U.S. was finally approved and he moved to Georgia in December 2023.
Shortly after Michael moved in with Angela, she reported that he was missing from her Georgia home in February 2024. Michael later explained his disappearance by saying he was “in fear of his life,” and he claimed he didn’t want Angela to know where he was.
The Georgia native filed for annulment from Michael on June 20, 2024, In Touch confirmed at the time. In her paperwork, she claimed that Michael “fraudulently induced” her into marriage “for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status in the United States.”

Angela also accused her ex of “engaging in a conspiracy with other Nigerian men to induce U.S. citizens into marriage for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status.” She listed Michael’s last known address as her home in Hazlehurst, Georgia, though claimed that he “no longer lived there” as of February 1, 2024. Additionally, Angela said she didn’t know where he could “be found.”
Michael later started a GoFundMe fundraiser in August 2024 to help him raise funds for his legal fees.
In addition to denying Angela’s claims of fraud, Michael accused her of “cruel treatment” and “physical and mental abuse” during their marriage. The case is currently ongoing.
In December 2024, In Touch exclusively reported that Michael informed the court that he turned over documents and information that Angela requested amid the case. Angela had served him interrogatories, meaning that she wanted Michael to provide information or produce related documents in regards to the case.
While Angela and Michael have kept recent details of their split private, she recently shared dating advice while appearing on a January episode of The Maury Show.
When asked what the “most important” thing in a romantic relationship is, Angela jokingly told the host, “The most important thing I want to tell my queens is … run.”
