Bravo’s Next Gen NYC premiered in June of this year and received quite a bit of buzz. One of the show’s biggest breakout stars was Ariana Biermann. Now, she’s opening up about her relationship with Hudson McLeroy and revealing her expectations for him to take things to the next level.

Regarding season one of Next Gen NYC, Ariana, 23, made headlines in the early episodes. This came with her revelation that she’d been helping support her parents, Kim Zolciak, 47, and Kroy Biermann, 39, financially. Kim has recently confirmed this to be true and discussed repaying her daughter. 

Ariana sat down for an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, in which she discussed her romantic bond with Hudson and what she expects regarding their future. She began, “I mean, so this might sound crazy, and I get it, but I have a five-year rule.”

Ariana continued, “So, if he doesn’t propose in five years, which is in a little less than two years, it’s a no.” She also revealed that they have been “on and off” since they were only 14 years old. However, they’ve been in a committed relationship for three years, which means Hudson has two more to pop the question. 

She then said, “But I don’t want to rush him, you know, make him feel, like, pressure. But he talks about it all the time. So, I’m like, ‘Stop talking about it and do it or don’t do it.’ Everyone’s getting engaged! Really, everybody?” According to her, “My mom always told me, ‘If he doesn’t propose after five years, then you’re already doing too many wife duties.’”

Kim also recently spoke about Ariana’s relationship with Hudson on her Watch What Happens Live appearance. The Real Housewives of Atlanta OG stated, “I found a little tweet that she had — a message on Twitter that she sent me — and she said, ‘Mom, I just love Hudson, I’m going to wait for him.’” Kim added, “She was 17. I sent her a screenshot of it! I was like, ‘Ariana, do you remember this? This is crazy.”

Ariana’s thoughts on getting engaged over the next couple of years also came with some unfortunate news. She and Hudson were planning a clothing brand together, but it seems they have not experienced success. She shared with Bravo, “You know, unfortunately, I just don’t think I’m as talented as I thought.”

Ariana went on, “Like, in all actuality, I think I had this different idea of what I wanted to do, and I just don’t think that I can produce the best thing. And so I just want to be, like, honest, and if I’m going to put something out there, I want it to be the best ever. And right now, it’s just not looking too hot.
