Ashley St. Clair claims Elon Musk ‘substantially’ reduced child support after she sued for sole custody of son

Ashely St. Clair alleged Elon Musk retaliated against her and their 6-month-old son after she sued him for sole legal custody.

“Elon Musk has financially retaliated against his own child and reduced his financial support substantially and unilaterally,” the author’s legal team told People Thursday.

“He did this after Ashley was forced to bring this matter to court, when he refused to respond to her many private attempts to resolve this matter without publicity.”

In February, St. Clair took to X to allege that she and Musk, 53, welcomed a child together last year and later claimed he was an absentee father.

At the time, the tech billionaire remained silent and allegedly took action against St. Clair by filing an emergency gag order to “prevent her from communicating about his actions,” her lawyers claimed.

“The judge denied the emergency nature of the application, even though it is still pending,” the attorneys continued.

“Ashley is vigorously opposing this application in order to preserve her right to speak-out,” they added. “All while Mr. Musk fashions himself a first amendment warrior and freely communicates via his owned social media platform.

“Given that Mr. Musk is dedicated to transparency in government, it would be helpful if he administered his own life by the same principles.”

A rep for Musk wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

In St. Clair’s lawsuit, she claimed that she and the Tesla CEO started dating in May 2023 and their child was conceived in January 2024.

She alleged the businessman had been absent from caring for their child, saying, “I feed him, bathe him and ensure that all his physical and emotional needs are met.”

“I am the only parent to make decisions for R.S.C. I schedule and take him to all his medical appointments,” St. Clair added.

At the time, she argued Musk had only seen their child three times and his last visit was in November 2024.

Aside from requesting full custody, St. Clair asked for the court to have the Space X CEO undergo DNA testing to prove he’s the father.

St. Clair also provided a slew of alleged text message communications with Musk to prove their relationship, including a spicy text that read, “I want to knock you up again.”

Musk, who has 13 other kids, has yet to “publicly acknowledge” his relationship as the infant’s father.
