Ashley Tisdale was recently seen navigating a solo outing in Malibu amidst ongoing tensions with her “toxic” mom group. The drama seems to be heating up, but Tisdale appeared composed as she took an important phone call.

The “High School Musical” alum was captured on Friday, effortlessly sporting a casual ensemble featuring a light pink sweatshirt paired with brown leggings. Her relaxed style was rounded off with turquoise socks and black sneakers, while her brown hair cascaded in soft waves.

Though Tisdale maintained a calm demeanor, a hint of seriousness lingered. At one point, she slipped on a pair of white, retro-inspired sunglasses, perhaps to shield herself from the public eye as photographers documented her outing.

With a bottle of water in hand, she was also seen texting as she strolled through the sunlit shopping strip mall, balancing her personal and public life with a seemingly steady resolve.

The Disney Channel alum’s solo weekend outing comes amid drama generated by Tisdale’s recent essay in The Cut — in which she criticized her former mom group as “toxic” because it made her feel “not cool enough” after being excluded from hangouts.

Tisdale, 40, then recounted texting the group to notify them that she was cutting ties with the group because it was “too high school” for her.

Tisdale refrained from calling anyone out by name, but she’s been linked to a high-profile mom group that includes A-listers Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor, among others.

While Duff’s sister Haylie Duff appeared to side with Tisdale by “liking” The Cut’s post featuring the article, Hilary’s husband Matthew Koma lashed out in a cryptic Instagram Story, seemingly calling Tisdale “self obsessed.”

Trainor, meanwhile, appeared surprised by the drama as she shared a clip of herself “finding out about the apparent mom group drama” while surfing the web. Her 2025 hit “Still Don’t Care” played in the background.

Trainor’s husband Daryl Sabara downplayed the drama, telling TMZ on Thursday that there’s “no drama over here” and adding that he “hope[s] she’s OK,” referring to Tisdale.

A source seemingly cheered Koma’s savage social media attack on Wednesday, alleging to Page Six that he “gave her what she had coming.” 

The source added that Tisdale is “insufferable” and said that the rift “has been a long time coming.”
