Austen Kroll has confirmed that he and Shep Rose spoke to Craig Conover on camera about his split from Paige DeSorbo for a “cameras-up” moment that is expected to be tacked on to the currently airing 10th season of Southern Charm.

After causing a stir with Paige, 32, by sharing on Watch What Happens Live that reports of a romance between her and Joe D’Amelio were “not [rumors],” Austen, 37, appeared on a podcast, where he opened up about his chat with Craig, 35, as Paige shared a couple of telling posts on her Instagram Story.

“We actually had like a ‘cameras up’ moment where Craig came over to my house and Shep came as well and the three of us talked about Craig’s breakup,” Austen revealed on the Chicks in the Office podcast, via Rate My Bravo on Instagram.

As fans well know, Craig split from the Summer House cast member at the end of last month after dating for three years. And, in the weeks that followed, Paige has been linked to — and photographed with — Joe. She’s also been accused of ringing in the New Year with the sports executive, and of traveling with him to Miami.

Regarding what he told his co-star and friend, Austen continued, “I was just like, ‘Craig, I want you to promise me that like, you’re just gonna shut off.’ I’m like, ‘If you need someone to talk to and hang with and take our mind off it, call me. Call me. It’s not good for you to be solo with your thoughts.’”

Meanwhile, on Paige’s social media account, she spoke of “having a voice” after being called out on WWHL.

“Teach your daughters that having a voice is more important than being nice,” read one of her January 31 posts.

Paige also shared a second message, which made it clear that, just like when she was dating Craig, her main focus was her career.

“Sorry I was busy workingggggg,” she wrote with a photo of fabric swatches and photographs.

Following Austen’s appearance on WWHL, Paige spoke out against him but didn’t necessarily deny that she and Joe were an item.

“Ahhh yes a man I haven’t spoken to in [six] months knows exactly what I’m doing,” she stated in an Instagram comment.

Southern Charm season 10 airs on Thursdays at 9/8c, and Summer House season nine premieres on Wednesday, February 12, at 9/8c on Bravo.
