Alexe Godin is a fan of a harmless prank.

Alexe, 28, decided to surprise her boyfriend, Andrew Spencer, who she started dating on season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise, with a sentimental tattoo idea. Alexe shared the LOL-worthy moment via Instagram on Wednesday, September 24.

“We are going to get a tattoo together,” Alexe told the camera as she documented their visit to a local parlor. “I can’t just make it a normal tattoo session, so I am going to prank [Andrew]. The tattoo artist is in on it and I’m gonna pretend that I’m gonna get his birthday tatted on me,” she added, pointing at her chest.

Once in the tattoo shop, Alexe told Andrew, 30, that her new ink was going to be “a big deal.”

“You’re scaring me,” Andrew replied, looking stressed as he watched on from the couch. “Don’t get my name tatted on you, that’s insane.”

After Alexe playfully questioned why that was an “insane” idea, Andrew replied that it was a “bad omen,” as some believe that couples who get their partner’s name inked in their skin are guaranteed to break up.

Alexe then told Andrew to come and see the design concepts of his birthday, and he immediately started gushing. “Not him pretending to be [OK] with it,” Alexe wrote above his reaction.

She asked him how he felt about the artwork, to which he replied, “You’re insane.”

Alexe went on to quip that since she already has one arm covered in tattoos, she was going to “start fresh” on her other arm with his birthday. “Fresh relationship!”

The tattoo artist applied the outline to her arm while Andrew sat in the back and was “stressing,” according to Alexe.

Alexe finally revealed to Andrew that she was messing with him after he wiped sweat from his forehead. He started cracking up and screaming when he learned it was all a setup.

“I was like, ‘Oh my God, baby, this is insane but OK!” he said, asking if the tattoo artist knew about the prank.

“01/20/95 forever 😘 @andrewzspencer,” Alexe captioned the post. “#prank #tattoo.” Bachelor Nation members, including Andrew, laughed along in the comments section.

“Stressed 😂😂😂 we were about to have a long talk on the car ride home,” Andrew captioned the post. Spencer Conley, who also starred on season 10 of BiP, added, “He was going to let her get the tattoo 😂😂💀,” while Serena Pitt quipped, “This is SO good 😂.”

Alexe previously went into detail about her collection of tattoos via TikTok in February, showing off a butterfly on her shoulder, representing “evolving and becoming a better person,” and an eye tattoo, which she later covered with a mermaid because it wasn’t her style. Alexe also has a bull skull, a cloud and a snake etched onto her skin.

“That was the first time I was like, ‘Oh my gosh. What did I just put on my arm?! That is there forever,” she explained. “Now, I have to commit to a full sleeve.”

She advised that fans think about what tattoos they want for “a full year” before getting one, so they don’t regret any like she did.
