BBC Countryfile star Adam Henson has shared an update that left his Instagram followers utterly thrilled. His beloved horse had been unwell and had to face a vet trip, leaving his followers concerned, but as he shared an update with his fans they were soon left rushing to share their joy over the positive news.
In a video, he said: “Well thank you so much everybody for your messages to Lexy wishing her well after her visit from the vet. As you can see, she’s now on top form, ears pricked, eyes alert, enjoying the apples. So thankfully, she’s back to full health. And we’re all delighted, aren’t we Lexy?”
He captioned the video: “Lexy update: She’s made a full recovery after her vet visit and is now celebrating with her favourite treat, apples!”
His followers rushed to the comments to share their excitement over the good news, with one user writing: “Really happy to know that Lexy is ok. Looking forward to seeing her new foal too.”
Another said: “That’s great news!,” while a third wrote: “Thank goodness she has made a good recovery, she is a beautiful girl.”
A fourth person chimed: “Just love Lexy, so happy to hear she is fully recovered. Wow she sure does love her apple treats!”
Adam had shared the information days prior to say that he had a “poorly Lexy”, but she was getting back on her feet. He told his followers that she was getting plenty of rest as she was preparing to welcome a foal in May 2026.
He had explained that she was struggling and pawing at the ground, but due to her pregnancy, he was particularly concerned that she had colic.
Adam said that she’s one of the farm park favourites, but can be a little tricky to check due to her size. The vet was filmed checking that she was okay and explained that she could have just been cramping, rather than having a twisting gut.
The vet was establishing that there was nothing “too serious” going on, but quickly confirmed that the horse appeared to be okay and nothing was “too critical”.
