Adam Thomas has still not been confirmed to perform on Strictly Come Dancing tonight, with BBC bosses making 11th hour “contingency arrangements”.
The actor was missing from Friday night’s episode of It Takes Two.
After being introduced to the BBC show, his dance partner Luba Musktuk explained Adam’s absence, saying: “He is resting now, he didn’t feel very well but he is resting and getting ready for tomorrow night, everything will be fine.”
But it has since been reported Strictly Come Dancing has been thrown into chaos as Adam’s appearance “hangs in the balance”.
A Strictly spokesperson previously told Express “the health and well-being of the cast” is an “absolute priority” and plans are being drafted should Adam be too sick to perform in the Halloween special this evening.
It has not yet been confirmed whether Adam will take to the dancefloor tonight.
The Waterloo Road actor, 35, was forced to pull out of his scheduled appearance on It Takes Two on Friday night due to illness casting doubt.

Express.co.uk have approached Strictly representatives for comment.
The drama comes days after Amanda Abbington quit the series after initially pulling out of last week’s live show for “medical reasons”.
Adam first fell ill last week and was banned from rehearsing, as bosses raced to stop the winter flu from spreading amongst their cast.
According to reports, the celebrities and their pro partners were warned to take all measures to stay in fighting form – even if it meant missing precious rehearsal time.
The former soap star admitted he has been missing his wife-of-six years Caroline as he juggles Strictly with filming for Waterloo Road.
He told The Sun: “Absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder because I’m constantly ringing her going, ‘God, I love you so much’. She just rang me, crying, going, ‘You don’t know how much it means’.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs tonight on BBC One at 6.45pm.
