Bella Thorne has accused Charlie Puth of turning on her after she refused to sleep with him.

The Shake It Up! alum made the claim on Friday, July 11 via the comments section of an entertainment Instagram account that about Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall “never” wanting to collaborate with Puth again.

“Yeah I mean .. he lied to the entire world about me and started a hate train. All because I wouldn’t …. Do the deed with him,” Thorne, 27, wrote in the comments section in response.

Us Weekly has reached out to Puth’s representatives for comment.

Back in December 2016, Puth, 33, and Thorne were briefly romantically linked. The pair were spotted at Jingle Ball in Miami, with the “We Don’t Talk Anymore” singer serenading Thorne on-stage.

However, things turned sour when Puth took to X (formerly Twitter) to publicly accuse Thorne of cheating. In a series of since-deleted Tweets, Puth claimed Thorne hadn’t broken it off with her ex, Tyler Posey, before embarking on the short-lived romance with him.

“I can’t believe what I’m reading,” Puth wrote at the time. “No one should have their heart messed with like this, and I’m not going to be in the middle of it.”

Although he did not namecheck Thorne in the Tweets, he directly apologized to Posey, which made it clear the Tweets were referencing the actress.

“I don’t know Tyler personally, but I know he shouldn’t be treated this way,” he wrote. “She told me she was not with him anymore. This is all news to me.”

Thorne later hit back at the accusations via X, denying the infidelity claims and explaining that a Paper magazine article published earlier that week had information from prior to her and Posey’s split.

“Ty and I have been broken up for like over two weeks and charlie and I ARENT DATING we are friends. That article was written forever ago,” she wrote.

“Charlie and I were hanging out.. he saw an old interview and got butthurt but instead of texting me and asking about it he put it on Twitter.”

Both Thorne and Puth have both moved on romantically, with The Trainer actress announcing her engagement to Mulberry founder Mark Emms in May 2023.

Meanwhile, Puth married Brooke Sansone in September, 2024 in Montecito, California, sharing a poem via Instagram at the time to announce the wedding.

“I love you Brooke…I always have, with you I am my very best. I promise I’ll love you everyday in this life, and even more when we move on to our next,” the poem read.
