Ben Ofoedu's friends urge him to stop mentioning Vanessa Feltz - 'It's pathetic!'

Vanessa Feltz’s bitter ex Ben Ofoedu recently hit out at the broadcaster yet again, despite claiming to be happier than ever before.

The one-hit wonder oddly chose to make a dig at Vanessa while on his honeymoon with the woman he shamelessly calls Vanessa 2.0. However, a close friend of Ben’s has told the Express how those close to him are telling him to stop mentioning Vanessa as they fear it makes him look pathetic.

The source told Express: “Some of Ben’s friends wish he’d put a sock in it. It’s a bit pathetic now and seems to be the only way he can get any press attention.

“Two years and eight months after Vanessa threw him out after a woman he was cheating with trolled her younger daughter on Christmas Day 2022 he continues to keep himself in the public eye by making vicious comments about her to the media.

“Even though he is newly married the assaults on Vanessa – who was in a relationship with him for 16 years – keep on coming.”

The one hit wonder’s own pals are concerned, with the friend adding: “How must his new wife – whom he calls ‘Vanessa 2.0’ – be feeling when he constantly harps on about his ex. He even gave interviews about her at their wedding – such odd behaviour.”

Ofoedu, 53, claims to be head over heels in love with his 23 years younger bride, yet seems totally obsessed by Vanessa and can’t stop sounding off about her. When Feltz dumped him, Ofoedu was filmed telling a journalist: “She was perfect. I have ruined my life with her. I’d do anything to be back with her.”

His story has since changed, but not his determination to keep talking about the award winning presenter who just won Best Talk Show for her daily program on Channel 5.

Concerned friends worry Ofoedu has too much time on his hands. Another close mate told Express: “The Phats and Small song he voiced was way back in 1999. A quarter of a century later it is not clear what he does for a living. There is worry in his inner circle that he mistakes giving interviews about Express columnist Feltz for a job.”

The Express understands Feltz’s team are disgusted by Ofoedu’s determination to use the star to hang on to the limelight. His own family are said to love Feltz and be horrified by his concerted attacks on her. Everyone seems to be asking the same question: ‘When will he focus on his new marriage, stop using Feltz to get attention, pipe down and give it a rest?’
