Bethenny Frankel Shades “Boring” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Netflix Show, Suggests It’s a “Money” GrabBethenny Frankel Shades “Boring” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Netflix Show, Suggests It’s a “Money” Grab

Bethenny Frankel is unleashing her thoughts about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new docuseries, Harry & Meghan, which dropped on Netflix last week. On the show, the couple details the hardships of living in the public eye.

The royals also discussed the media’s opposition to Meghan, and they hinted at unfair treatment within the monarchy itself. Bethenny, a former star on Real Housewives of New York, perhaps knows a small fraction of the fame given to Meghan and Harry.

In a Monday, December 12, TikTok video, Bethenny shaded the new series.

“I found it a little bit boring,” said the 52-year-old.

“It didn’t hold my attention. It seemed like they really wanted to be humanized. They wanted us to know that they are real human beings.”

The star went on, “We believe that you are really in love and we believe that you’re really human beings.”

She suggested that Meghan wished to “hang out with major celebrities” and have notoriety in joining the monarchy.

“It felt like this entire documentary was about how famous we are… it’s relentless,” she expressed.

“If you are being trolled by the media, the royal family gave you the advice to say nothing because that’s the advice that most very famous people are given. If you add gasoline to a fire, the fire blows up even bigger. It feels like they — and Meghan in particular — just keep wanting to tell us more.”

Bethenny then suggested the show was “a smash-and-grab job for money,” and she referenced their recent exit from England, where the rest of his family dwells.

“It feels like, ‘Grab the bag because we’re leaving this thing and we gotta take everything we can,’” she said.

In the comments, many fans approved of Bethenny’s opinions.

“It was great background noise for the best 3 hour nap I wasn’t planning on taking,” said one user, who then alluded to their reported payment for the series. “100 million reasons why they did this.”

Another added, “I’m pleased you said that in a calm and effective manner. I get it more now when someone doesn’t attack them as people but explains it rationally!!”

Others were more hesitant to agree.

“No. They wanted to tell their story. End. Did not want to have the same life his mom did,” wrote a different fan. “Give them a chance. I gave you a chance.”

Harry & Meghan is now streaming on Netflix.
