Bethenny Frankel has responded to criticism from fans regarding her newly unveiled Florida residence, which was recently highlighted in Architectural Digest. Some fans even questioned whether the home’s design was intended as an “April Fools joke.”

Earlier in the year, Bethenny revealed her decision to make Florida her permanent home, although she continues to maintain a property in New York. Since the move, the Real Housewives of New York alum has frequently expressed her contentment with the new abode.

This month, Architectural Digest featured Bethenny’s Florida home, describing it as “a sleek, modern interpretation of traditional Floridian style.” Among the standout pieces in the décor is a marble waste basket priced at approximately $1,000. The house also boasts sheepskin-fur counter stools, woven basket light fixtures, and wallpaper made from wood pulp.

“Highs and lows, baby,” Bethenny commented about her home’s eclectic mix. “There are so many fun elements to incorporate that people won’t recognize their origins.”

But in the comments of Architectural Digest’s Instagram post, many fans weren’t impressed.

“What does your interior designer do for a living?” said one user.

“Is this an early April Fools joke?” wrote another.

“Did the Onion post this?!? What is happening AD?” said a fourth.

“The floating kitchen croissants. The 2007 accent chevron wall. Is this rage bait?” expressed a fifth.

“Who puts fur on kitchen island chairs?!” asked a sixth.

“No. Just no. WHY? Why is this home worthy of @archdigest,” wrote another. “Sorry … it is not special. At all! There needs to be more curated, unique and special homes in America that actually DESERVE it. [Bethenny] is lovely, and a self made woman who deserves respect and to be admired… but not her home. It truly looks like a Homegoods/ TJMaxx promo.”

On X, one person wrote, “Architectural Digest posting Bethenny’s ugly a– Home Goods slop abomination of a house please be serious.”

On Sunday, Bethenny clapped back with an Instagram video – sharing that she’s earned $12 million from real estate profits in recent years, and there were no pieces from Wayfair or HomeGoods in her house.

“This home that I’m in, I paid $4.2 [million], getting a million dollar discount because it was going into foreclosure, it’s worth over $6 [million] now and I could sell it when I decide to move in three years when [my daughter] Bryn is going into college for about $7 million,” said the star, via Page Six. “I approach a home with neutral tones that are something that anybody could relate to, possibly want to buy, but definitely be able to see their own vision when they come to look at a house because I do move a decent amount.”

“I’m not the one who’s going to like, get in bone from China and inlay it onto my floor. I’m not that b**ch,” she continued. “AD is a business … They want to aspire, to entertain, engage and hopefully give people something that is attainable … When I make my $3 million on this house, maybe I’ll invite you for a latte.”
