Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds found themselves notably absent from the guest list at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s exclusive wedding event last Friday.
According to a source who spoke exclusively with Page Six, “Taylor is currently focusing on surrounding herself with people she feels she can trust and who contribute positively to her well-being.” Although Swift and Lively once shared a close bond, the insider revealed that Swift now believes their friendship has ended and sees little chance for reconciliation.
Last month, Page Six confirmed that the celebrated singer did not send a wedding invitation to the star of “The Town.”
The source further elaborated, “Taylor once hoped that she and Blake could move beyond this. She hadn’t anticipated their relationship would deteriorate to this extent, believing that time would eventually heal the rift between them.”
“However, as more incidents unfolded, it became increasingly difficult for them to repair their friendship,” the source added.
According to the insider, “It wasn’t one big thing, it was everything adding up. By the time Taylor was making decisions about the wedding and who she wanted there, she realized she just didn’t want that kind of energy around something so important and it really was a turning point for her.”
A rep for Swift did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Meanwhile, Lively, 38, and Reynolds, 49, were snapped far away from the pop star and Kansas City Chief tight end’s rehearsal dinner on Thursday evening.
The actress and the “Deadpool” star supported their daughter Betty as she competed in a horse show in Lake Placid, New York, in pictures obtained by TMZ. According to the outlet, Betty, 6, placed second in the competition.
Swift and Kelce, both 36, tied the knot in a lavish wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3.
Celebrity guests included Swift’s close friends Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, her longtime publicist Tree Paine, and childhood best friend, Abigail Anderson.
Machine Gun Kelly, Kelsea Ballerini, sports reporter Erin Andrews, “Modern Family” alum Eric Stonestreet and his wife, Lindsay Schweitzer, and Benson Boone were also spotted heading to the A-list affair.
The “Gossip Girl” alum and Swift’s friendship imploded in 2025 when the singer was dragged into the former’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
In January 2025, the director filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds and their publicist, alleging defamation, extortion and more. (The lawsuit was dismissed that June.)
In the docs, Baldoni shared texts from the “A Simple Favor” star, showing a discussion they had about the “Bad Blood” singer.
“I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually for better,” Lively’s text read.
“Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. [Smiley-face emoji] you will too, I can promise you.”
In another alleged text, Lively referred to the pop star and Reynolds as her “most trusted partners.”
In May 2025, Swift was issued a subpoena to appear in court as a witness in the actors’ ongoing legal feud. Later that month, Baldoni, 47, dropped the “Cruel Summer” singer’s subpoena.
In January, additional private text messages between Swift and Lively were exposed in court docs.
In one message from 2023, the “Fortnight” singer took aim at Baldoni, saying he had “gotten out his tiny violin.”
The former BFFs also plotted on having Swift endorse Lively’s revision of the “It Ends With Us” script — even without reading it.
The legal drama placed a wedge between the women, who haven’t been seen together since 2024.
The “Age of Adaline” star was noticeably absent from Swift’s bachelorette activities in June.
Lively and the “Shake It Off” singer have been friends since 2015. Swift is also a godparent to Reynolds and his wife’s four children.
