XOXO, Blake! Blake Lively unveiled her glamorous “night out hair” in a charming snapshot with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, complete with a subtle nod to her Gossip Girl roots.
At 38, Lively treated her followers to a glimpse into her date night with the 49-year-old Deadpool & Wolverine star, just as the duo geared up for their Thanksgiving festivities on Thursday, November 27.
“Making good use of my night-out hair,” Lively captioned an Instagram Story, sharing a photo of the couple beaming together.
Astute fans were treated to a Gossip Girl reference within the picture, as Lively cleverly highlighted an Easter egg, noting, “I spy the Empire Hotel iukuk.”

The Empire Hotel holds significant nostalgia as a recurring filming location for the Gossip Girl crew, becoming such a staple that fans regularly gathered outside to witness the filming in action.
Earlier in the day, Lively shared a tutorial on how to get those “8 min deep wave curls” using her Blake Brown Beauty products. In the Instagram video, Lively walked her followers through the process of going from freshly showered to date night-ready.
“The trick is keeping your curling iron horizontal and using a terrific Hairspray (I’m obsessed with our new Classic Hairspray) for 24 hour hold, shine and lux softness and I can’t do a night out look without our Glam Mousse …it literally feels like it — at minimum — QUADRUPLES my volume. It’s wild,” she wrote.
The actress continued, “I have long hair but it’s fine and can lay flat without the major assistance of our Glam Mousse. We worked for so many years on these formulas for good reason.”
Lively also offered her Instagram followers seasonal tidings ahead of Thanksgiving festivities on Thursday.
“This season, have so much fun on all your special occasions,” she wrote. “And feel your best doing it, whatever that means for you.”
Fans of Lively and Reynolds previously got a festive selfie from the couple before Halloween when they posed next to a spooky balloon creation of a spider attached to a light pole in New York City.
“This is a creation of the wonderful @bigheadballoons,” Reynolds teased in October. “Apologies to those who rushed to investigate insane screaming. I didn’t even know if twas me making the sound to begin with.”
He went on to joke, “Also, gentle reminder about how full your hearts felt hearing the news how Ghost Spiders aren’t a real-life problem everyone has to just deal with. The paramedics said the ozone layer is healing. She said nobody talks about that either.”
The pair have been married since 2012 and share four children: James, 10, Inez, 8, Betty, 5, and Olin, 1.
In October, Reynolds poked fun at welcoming son Olin during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, where he admitted his relief over having three girls before his youngest arrived.
“If I had like three boys at first, I would never — there’s no way,” Reynolds admitted. “I would give myself a punching vasectomy. Like, there’s no way I would allow that to happen.”
He added, “We live in a very, like, there’s nothing violent in our home. There’s nothing creepy. [But Olin] came out with three things on his mind. It was violence, breasts and engines. I really don’t understand where this comes from!”
