Bradley Cooper has addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding potential cosmetic surgery.
During a candid conversation on the “SmartLess” podcast aired on January 5th, Cooper, now 51, joined hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett to discuss the persistent rumors about his appearance.
In an anecdote shared by the 55-year-old Arnett, he recounted a moment when he was questioned about lesser-known facts regarding Cooper. “I thought, ‘There’s so much people don’t know,'” he recalled. “And I was about to reveal — since everyone speculates that Bradley’s had plastic surgery — that he hasn’t. It’s a common misconception,” Arnett stated. “Isn’t that right?”
Bateman, aged 56, chimed in with agreement, affirming, “Indeed, he hasn’t.” Arnett concurred, “Absolutely, he hasn’t.”
Cooper then joined the convo, explaining that people have been speculating if he has made any enhancements to achieve his youthful appearance. “No, I get people [coming] up to me the last couple [of] weeks. They’re like, ‘Oh, you look good! Yeah. Yeah, but it’s a crazy [thing].”
Arnett added that people “think that they know” all about Cooper, but that it’s “bulls***.”
Cooper isn’t the first celebrity who put plastic surgery rumors to rest. In December 2025, Sydney Sweeney clarified that she’s never had work done while taking a lie detector test with Vanity Fair alongside Amanda Seyfried.

While hooked up to the machine, Seyfried, 40, asked the Euphoria star, “There’s been a question on everyone’s mind recently, and I just have to ask. Are your boobs real?”
Sweeney, 28, replied, “Yes!” which showed true on the machine. Seyfried then questioned if she’s “ever had any work done on” her chest.
“No, I’ve never gotten any work done anywhere,” she answered. The test administrator confirmed that her response was “truthful.”
Sweeney previously shared that she also hasn’t gotten any injectables. In October, she told Variety, “I’ve never gotten anything done. I’m going to age gracefully.” She added, “It’s really funny. I’ll see things online like ‘comparison pictures.’ I’m like, ‘I’m 12 in that photo. Of course I’m going to look different. I have makeup on now and I’m 15 years older.’”
Another reason that she’s steered clear of Botox and filler is because of her phobia of needles. “I’m absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing,” she shared.
Ariana Grande also got candid about plastic surgery rumors in September 2024 during her own Vanity Fair lie detector test.
At the time, her Wicked costar Cynthia Erivo questioned the singer if she got her “nose done.”
Grande, 32, quickly replied, “No,” which the test showed was truthful. She also denied getting a “boob job,” a “fox eye lift,” a “chin implant,” and a “Brazilian butt lift.”
The one procedure that Grande said she was “open” to getting down the line is a facelift.
Grande did, however, share that she’s experimented with injectables before.
“I’ve had fillers in various places and Botox, but I stopped, like, four years ago,” she said. “And that is the extent.” Grande also noted that she supports anyone who chooses to get work done.
