Brandi Glanville Announces Father Guy’s Death Amid TV Star’s Financial and Health Struggles: ‘I Hate This Life’

Brandi Glanville’s father, Guy Glanville, has died at 77.

“My dad died, I’m gutted I hate this life right now,” the 53-year-old former reality TV star wrote on X Saturday, adding a broken heart emoji.

Brandi has not disclosed Guy’s cause of death, and her representative did not respond to a request for comment.

The former model and her father had a complicated relationship, marked by periods of estrangement after they appeared together on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition” in 2018.

“My dad and I, we left the show in a great space and then, when the show aired, we haven’t talked since,” Brandi told “Entertainment Tonight” soon after the season premiere.

“You know, he’s not done TV before, and I warned him ahead of time, ‘They’re not going to be able to show everything that we shot. They’re going to show the highlights, so you have to write down notes and understand it’s going to be the highlights of what we shot, and don’t get mad — you’re gonna get mad all over again,’ and ultimately, he did.”

The “Celebrity Big Brother” alum said they were no longer speaking at the time, but emphasized that she “love[s] him dearly.”

“He’s everything. I’m just, I’m leaving [it] in his corner. Because you know, you know me, I get a little aggressive,” she said.

Brandi and Guy later repaired their relationship. He also publicly supported his daughter during her feud with fellow Bravo star Denise Richards.

“My daughter may be many things, sometimes an a–hole, but she is not a liar,” Guy said in a video shared on Instagram at the time, according to Us Magazine.

Earlier this year, Brandi shared that her father was seriously ill.

“Been completely off the grid,” she wrote on X. “Dad in cardiac unit at the hospital & it’s day 13 now. We are both medical mysteries. Pray for my dad Guy Glanville.”

The “Drinking & Dating” author has also been dealing with serious, unexplained health problems affecting her face.

The television personality recently posted ultrasound footage on Instagram and said her doctor had “saw something alive” and “moving” in her face during the examination.

“If I don’t find a doctor to cut this out of my face, I’m just going to do it myself,” she said in the video.

Brandi said she has “highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley fever), Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis.”

She has also said that a fungal ball in her face is being prepared for removal.

In February, Brandi attributed her health problems to her 20-year-old ruptured breast implants, saying they had leaked silicone into her lymph nodes.

The Bravo star has said her medical expenses have reached $7,000 a week. She recently admitted feeling “embarrassed” after a friend created a GoFundMe campaign in her name.
