Brandon Blackstock’s daughter heartbreakingly announced she’s expecting her second child just one month before her father died.

Savannah Blackstock Lee shared the news about her growing family on Instagram — which is set to private — on July 5, per People.

The 23-year-old’s dad lost his three-year battle with melanoma on Thursday.

“We’ve been keeping a couple sweet surprises,” she wrote. “One little girl will be making her arrival at the beginning of January and another beautiful girl named Julianna who has already been one of the greatest blessings to our family.”

“The Lord has been so faithful,” she continued. “He’s written a story we never could’ve imagined, and His kindness in this season has left us in awe. He’s answered prayers we never even knew how to pray.”

Savannah, who is already a mom to her 3-year-old son, Lake, with her husband, Quentin Lee, reflected on her pregnancy.

“This journey has been so special full of peace, excitement, and so much grace,” she wrote. “We’re growing again, and our hearts are so full. Thank you, Jesus. 🤍”

Brandon shared Savannah and his eldest son, Seth, 19, with ex-wife Melissa Ashworth. The two were married from 2001-2012.

Brandon also had two children with ex-wife Kelly Clarkson: daughter River, 11, and son Remington, 9. He was married to the “American Idol” winner from 2013-2022.

Clarkson, 43, took a leave of absence earlier this year to help care for her sick ex-husband, multiple sources told Page Six.

“It’s been exhausting and so sad… ” a source told us. “Kelly has been working so hard, as well as looking after Brandon. Despite their difficult divorce, he’s still the man she loved and still her kids’ father.”

Brandon died at 48 years old. A source confirmed to Page Six that Blackstock had recently been in hospice.

The father of four was surrounded by his loved ones when he passed, a family spokesperson told us.

“Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.”
