In a recent development on the drama-filled stage of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Britani Bateman has come forward to address comments made by fellow cast member Meredith Marks. During a reunion episode, Meredith alleged that Britani supported a bigot, which she claimed was the reason for her heated reactions throughout the season. Britani, however, views this as a mere excuse for Meredith’s bullying behavior.

Meredith’s accusations stem from an off-camera confrontation where she reproached Britani for her public support of a controversial figure. Britani insists that she was unaware of the individual’s offensive past and asserts that she denounced him immediately upon learning the truth.
Britani opened up about the situation on The Julia Cunningham Show, revealing her surprise and hurt over Meredith’s claims. “I was in shock,” she confessed. “This is the first time I’ve spoken about it. You guys are the very first people to hear it out of my mouth. Watching it unfold with the rest of the world last night has left me in a really dark place. I think it’s really a low blow.”
On The Julia Cunningham Show, Britani shared her reaction to Meredith’s accusation.
“I was in shock. I mean, this is the first time I’ve spoken to it,” said Britani. “You guys are the very first people to hear it out of my mouth. I’m still kind of in a really dark place, having watched that back with the rest of the world last night. I think it’s really a low blow.”
“Because there’s nothing worse than accusing someone of hating a whole race of people, a whole group of people, for no reason. That’s what being bigoted is, is to hate someone before you even know them,” she added. “And I don’t hate anybody. … I feel like it was the perfect diversion for her.”
Britani said it makes her “mad” because Meredith “brought this up months prior.”
“She used this as an excuse to be bullying me at the beginning of the season,” she said. “And we hashed it out off camera, and she told me … ‘Look, I may have overreacted, but I feel like I got death threats when I did my bat mitzvah.’ … And [then] we ended [it] so well. I apologized profusely, and we ended this. It was done and buried. And so for her to bring this up as an excuse to bully me on the plane, as like, ‘Well, she deserved it, because…’ That’s what made me lose my mind.”
“The math wasn’t mathing, to pull a Lisa line,” she continued. “I realize I will never see an apology from Meredith over anything ever, so I’m not even waiting around for that. I’m just so disappointed, I guess, that someone would go that low and on national television … You can’t come back from that … It’s a cruel … and I will not accept an apology for that ever. It’s not okay. I will never be in her presence again.”
Britani said she “won’t film with her” again.
