Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s messy split was a hot topic during last night’s installment of The Valley’s season two reunion.
As Brittany, 36, offered an update on the status of their divorce, accusing Jax, 46, of dragging his feet in an attempt to make room for a potential alimony request, Brittany looked back on the moments that led up to their split, accusing Jax of becoming “extremely aggressive” and violent, claiming he body shamed her after she welcomed their son, offering an update on their custody situation and divorce, and more.
“This is what made me spiral,” Jax began as he looked back on Brittany’s short-lived fling with Julian Sensley, 42, who was part of their friend group.
“He was extremely aggressive,” Brittany recalled. “He threw the coffee table. It landed on my knee. It turned black immediately. He threw both barstools. He threw my Stanley Cup and broke it. He threw my phone and broke it. He threw my laptop and broke it. He threw me into the rose bushes.”
“I didn’t throw you into the rose bushes,” Jax interjected.
But according to Brittany, he can’t deny it because she has footage from her Ring camera that her castmates had seen.
As she noted that she and Julian never dated, saying they were “hooking up a couple times a week,” Brittany explained that her confidence was at an all-time low.
“This man degraded me, put me down, body shamed me constantly. Julian gave me the attention that I needed in that moment. He made me feel sexy. He made me feel beautiful,” she shared.
Even after Jax alleged that Julian was dating five other girls at the time, Brittany said he was what she needed because Jax had caused her to “lose [her] sparkle.”
“I had your son, and then you body shamed me for stretch marks. I had your child. Your beautiful child … [He] literally called me a tree trunk because I had stretch marks,” she continued.
Again, Jax denied it. But Jasmine Goode, 38, and Zack Wickham, 36, confirmed they’d seen it happen.
Moving on to custody, Brittany said she had full custody of Cruz, 4, and noted that once their divorce is final, she will allow Jax to have him every Wednesday and every other weekend.
“I’m not gonna ever not let him have his son as long as he’s passing his drug test,” Brittany clarified.
Then, when Jax said he didn’t want to uproot his son from his house, Brittany called him out.
“I had to be the one to take our autistic son and move him from Airbnb to Airbnb because you would not leave the house, knowing he needs stability, knowing everything. But your ego was so big that you made me and Cruz move out, and then you didn’t pay the mortgage for seven months,” she reminded him.
As for Jax’s rehab visits, Brittany pointed out that Jax had suggested drugs and alcohol were not his problem.
“Drugs and alcohol, I believe, are not the big problem,” he agreed. “I feel like you’re masking hurt, whatever you’re going through, fighting, all the stuff that I was doing to Brittany, and I was angry, and I would use drugs and alcohol to take it away for a couple hours.”
According to Jax, he was 156 days sober from “everything” at the time the reunion was filmed. But after Brittany confirmed he was still smoking weed, Jax admitted he “can’t stop smoking.”
“Are you on steroids?” Brittany then asked.
“I’m not on steroids,” Jax replied.
“Your attitude and your personality is so sporadic, so, if it isn’t the drugs, if it isn’t alcohol, if it isn’t this, why are you still just as crazy as before?” she wondered. “Some days it’s okay, and then the next day it is absolute hell. The disrespect is insane.”
After hearing Brittany’s suggestion, host Andy Cohen, 57, noted that it would be detrimental to Jax’s anger issues if he were on steroids.
“That’s why I’m worried,” Brittany explained.
During another moment of The Valley reunion, Brittany said that while she and Jax aren’t officially divorced quite yet, she hopes it will happen “soon,” especially now that Jax has exited the show and threatened her with a support request.
“He called me the other day and said that he didn’t know if he was gonna get kicked off the show, so he was prolonging it in case he needed to get alimony from me,” she shared as Jax insisted that was only “somewhat true.”
“Don’t act like you didn’t say that to me,” Brittany reprimanded.
“Then we’ll agree with you, what you said,” Jax replied.
The Valley season two reunion continues next Tuesday, August 5, at 8/7c on Bravo.
