Brittany Cartwright, a familiar face in the reality TV realm, is navigating significant changes in the public eye. Recently, the former Vanderpump Rules star took part in the latest season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. However, despite her determination, she was the first contestant to bow out of the rigorous military-style competition.
In addition to her television endeavors, Brittany’s personal life has also made headlines. Just this past week, she revealed that she and boyfriend Brandon Hanson have decided to part ways, merely two months after introducing their relationship to the public.
During a candid discussion on her podcast, When Reality Hits, Brittany shared insights into the breakup. She mentioned that the split with Brandon was amicable and recognized that perhaps they had gone public with their romance prematurely, before either of them was fully prepared for such exposure.
Brittany Said They Went Public Too Soon
Brittany opened up about what went down on an episode of her podcast, When Reality Hits. She explained that things had ended well with Brandon, and that, looking back, they had stepped out into the public before either of them was ready for it:
We actually did not last. We were very good friends before we started dating. It was kind of like a whirlwind relationship. It went into the public way sooner than we ever would have wanted it to. We still care a lot about each other. It ended amicably, but I just could not do the long distance, and he’s got a lot of obligations with his three kids and jobs, and we lived three hours away, so it was just too tough to keep it going. We really cared about each other.
“Hopefully, we can remain friends, but it’s just something I didn’t see that was going to be able to continue in the future,” she added.
Still, she noted that she didn’t have any regrets about the way things had gone down. “Like I said, it got into the media much sooner than we wanted it to, but I, I feel good about the decision and I think, you know, this is what’s best for me. So [I] wish him the best, wish everything the best. It just wasn’t for me, it just didn’t work out,” she added.
Brittany Addressed Rumors That Brandon Paid For Her Surgery
Brittany also used the opportunity on her podcast episode to clear up some rumors. There was a particularly nasty one about how she had used Brandon to pay for her “mommy makeover” surgery, which she quickly dispelled:
Your girl is single and definitely nobody paid for my surgery but me. I’m a boss baby, boss b****, I got this. All by myself and I’m happy, actually.
It would appear that Brandon was certainly not the sugar daddy type to do so. In fact, Brandon himself is a young parent who is also currently going through a divorce, separated from his wife for less than a year.
Brittany said that, moving forward, she will look back fondly on her relationship with Brandon and try to learn from the experience. She noted that she continued to grow, especially after leaving her contentious relationship with ex-husband Jax Taylor.
“My outlook on everything with that toxic situation I was in has changed dramatically. So I’m excited to just have fun and explore this new me. Let go of the dead weight, let go of the drama and just enjoy my life and my family and my friends,” she emphasized.
