Brittany Cartwright suggested she parted ways with her mystery man – and seemingly hinted at why. The star also addressed getting “baby fever,” and addressed “red flags” in her marriage to Jax Taylor.
On the new season of The Valley, Brittany filed for divorce from Jax at the end of his time in rehab. They have a four-year-old son Cruz, of whom they share custody. A few months back on Watch What Happens Live, Brittany revealed she had a “crush” on someone, as fans spotted her in public with who they believe was the mystery man.
On her “When Reality Hits” podcast, Brittany said she was recently around several babies while visiting her family in Kentucky.
“It’s hard after you’ve already had a kid and you’re around the cutest little babies,” she said, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “Every time I’m around baby Kaya too, I’m like, oh my gosh, I missed this phase. You forget how fast everything happens and Cruz is four now.”
“It’s just so crazy how much you forget how little they are and all the little things you have to do, how much they sleep, how much they want to eat. I mean, goodness gracious, but I loved every second of it. It is the sweetest thing ever,” she said. “I swear it’s giving me baby fever really bad.”
But Brittany said she’s “got to find me a man first.”
“Because your girl is single as a pringle,” she added, suggesting she and the mystery man parted ways. “Dating after being separated and going through a divorce is so weird. It’s not the easiest thing.”
“I posted this meme on my Instagram story yesterday, and it was like, in my marriage, I ignored 8,888 different red flags. But in my dating life after divorce …. you notice so many little things because [of] the red flags and stuff I have to watch out for,” she said cryptically. “I don’t want to be stuck in another situation like I was and just ignore, ignore, ignore because I try to always see the best in people, and you always think somebody is going to change. So I’m trying to do things differently, and I’m definitely taking my time.”
“Dating in LA, man, it’s crazy,” she added. “You have to worry if somebody really likes you, if they’re going to try to use you … A lot of people here are trying to get on a show or get followers.”
