Brittany Cartwright addressed being “scared” of Jax Taylor hearing her on the red carpet in a recent interview. The Valley star also hinted at an alleged incident that was “very traumatic” when she “could have called the cops.”

In the red carpet interview ahead of the season two premiere, Brittany looked over her shoulder as she was talking about Jax, her estranged husband, whom she’s now divorcing. Jax recently shared that he went to rehab for alcohol and cocaine addiction. Last year, amid their separation, Jax allegedly uncovered Brittany’s secret relationship with his friend Julian Sensley. In a trailer for the new season, Brittany mentioned a “restraining order,” though the details are unclear.

Speaking with Housewives Nightcap, Brittany addressed the red carpet interview for Extra.

“Does nobody realize that I was scared on the carpet, [asking] if Jax was around listening to what I was saying?” she said, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “[I was scared] because I didn’t want him to hear the things I was saying. I felt I couldn’t be myself if he was around and hearing.”

She then explained her reference to a “restraining order” in the trailer.

“I didn’t ever actually file a restraining order. It was something that was going to happen if he didn’t leave me alone,” she shared. “Two days before we started filming, which everybody sees in the first episode, that’s whenever I really could have called the cops or done something because it was very, very bad and very traumatic … But I didn’t. I had, Jason and Janet came over, and we, like, settled it between all of us, and Jason took him away, and Janet stayed with me.”

“But I was like, ‘In the future, if this ever happened again, I’m taking a different route,’” she added.

The star also claimed that Jax is still worried about who she’s dating.

“He still brings up Julian, who I have not talked to in months. Months!” she said. “But that still gets brought up to me almost on a daily basis.”

Brittany was then asked about her love life.

“I mean, I have been on, like, some dates and stuff,” she said. “And I do have, like, a couple of crushes. I say a couple of crushes. I don’t really know how to explain it. I have a crush for sure. But you know, nothing serious yet.”
