Brittany Cartwright revealed what her parents think of Jax Taylor, and recalled when he questioned if she was dating a guy from her Brawny commercial. The Valley star also said Jax asked her to “stop talking about me,” and she questioned if he’s stalling their divorce.

Last year, Brittany filed for divorce shortly after separating from Jax, with whom she shares a child. Throughout the separation, they’ve fought over who Brittany is dating, and she’s often discussed his alleged ‘rage’ incidents.

On Lala Kent’s “Give Them Lala” podcast, Brittany was asked what her parents and family now think of Jax.

“My family is super nice,” she said, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “I mean, they don’t, like, love him by any means, but they have a lot of respect for him as the father of my child. So they’re not going to be mean to him, but … he’s not going to be as close, by any means, as he used to be.”

She then addressed whether she can see herself co-parenting with Jax in a healthy way in the future.

“That’s the goal … It’s a struggle,” she explained. “Every day is different, but for the most part, whenever we only talk about Cruz, it’s fine. It’s whenever Jax wants to come in. And you know, I did that Brawny ad, and he was asking me if I was dating one of the brawny guys.”

“It’s just like a lot of like ups and downs,” Brittany went on. “He’s got to let go of a lot of the control that he thinks that he has over me … But whenever it comes to Cruz, that is both of our main goal. So, you know, I just hope that one day it gets … a little bit better.”

On “The Nikki and Brie Show,” Brittany was asked where she and Jax stand as the season airs.

“I feel like I’m personally in a better place now. Like, I feel it helped me be stronger in a weird way. I always say it helped hold me accountable because it was on TV … [with] the whole world judging you,” she said. “I feel like I hold a mirror up to myself and I’m like, ‘I can never go back’ … But with me and Jax, it’s just a roller coaster. It’s always up and down.”

“He’s in this phase right now where he’s like, ‘Please stop talking about me, stop talking about me,’” she continued. “And I’m like, ‘Again, you did all this stuff when you knew the cameras were around, so I have to talk about it, you know? And I don’t want to be silenced ever, so I’m going to speak my truth.”

Later on, she was asked if they’re officially divorced.

“No, it still has not been finalized yet. I’m hoping it will soon,” she said. “He waits till the last second for everything. I don’t know, like, if he weirdly thinks that I’m gonna call it off or something one day … It just seems like he just keeps doing stuff to prolong it.”
