Bronwyn Newport Reveals What Finally Broke Her Marriage to Todd on RHOSLC

Bronwyn Newport is candidly addressing the breakdown of her marriage to Todd Bradley in a newly released preview for season seven of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

Nearly one year after publicly confirming her split from Todd, 66, following nine years of marriage, the 40-year-old reality star sits down with her mother, Muzzy, for an emotional discussion about what comes next. Their conversation touches on the moment her relationship reached its limit and Bronwyn’s intention to formally move ahead with a divorce.

“You’re not gonna like this, but this is my dark humor: Last year you lost your husband and sold your house, and this year, I lost mine and sold mine, Muzzy,” Bronwyn says in the Bravo clip, released September 9.

“Monkey see, monkey do,” Muzzy responds.

Bronwyn also reveals that she remains uncertain about what she wants for her personal life. Earlier this year, she enjoyed a romance that lasted several months with model Brandon Good, 32, but tells her mother, “I don’t even know what I want.”

“You know, I have you. Lucky me. And I have Gweny and Logan,” she adds.

As Bronwyn discusses her plans to purchase a home for her daughter and eventually “transfer to her when she’s ready,” she acknowledges that Gwen’s bond with her stepfather has become “really complicated.”

“I know she worries about Todd and I want them to stay close,” Bronwyn says.

When the scene with her mom was shot, Bronwyn confirmed that she hadn’t seen Todd since January, nor had she filed for divorce.

“We haven’t filed. I would kind of like to start that process, but it still feels very raw for me, and I know that sounds stupid cuz I’m the one driving this,” she admits.

Meanwhile, in a confessional, Bronwyn tells the cameras, “There has absolutely been a handful of times that I should’ve said, ‘This is the end,’” as flashback moments feature her talking about “infidelity,” cheating rumors, and feeling “not good enough.”

As for the final straw, that happened amid Bronwyn’s 40th birthday.

“For me, the final straw, I was gonna have a big 40th birthday. Maybe he would remember. No. Ultimately, I realized I’d been by myself in that marriage for a long time, and I had to get myself out,” she tells Muzzy.

“I cry almost every time he and I hang up the phone because I don’t think everybody else understands that there’s a period of time with Todd that I really loved. We’re just not in that period of time anymore,” she goes on.

Then, after Muzzy wonders, “So you’re done-done?,” Bronwyn confirms, “I think I have to be.”

In December of last year, in a statement to PEOPLE, a rep for Bronwyn and Todd revealed that they had separated.

“This was a mutual decision made with care and respect for one another. They ask for privacy during this time,” the rep stated.

Around the same time, an insider told Page Six that the Bravo couple was “headed for divorce.”
